Stronger Team improves organizational performance
The key to improving a team is improving each individual
The Stronger Team philosophy hinges on three foundational principles:
To improve the whole, you must improve each part.
The very first step to improving a team is to improve each member of the team by providing the resources, support, and accountability required for them to become the best versions of themselves. When each individual improves, the team improves.
Repetition is the key to mastery.
If it’s important, it should be emphasized and reinforced consistently through a variety of different mediums. Repetition is not punishment. Repetition is a necessary pre-requisite to progress. If you want to get good at anything it requires repetition, repetition, repetition. True for individuals. True for teams.
The basics work.
A common mistake many teams make is they overcomplicate winning. They skip steps. They get infatuated with hacks and shortcuts. They get so fixated on results that they neglect the process. And once they find themselves severely underperforming, they pledge to ‘get back to the basics’ (when they never should have left them in the first place!). The fundamentals work. They always have and they always will.
“A team is not simply a group of people working together. A team is a group of people that truly cares, values, and respects each other. A group of people that believe ‘we is greater than me.’ A group of people that are committed to fulfilling their specific role to contribute to the team’s shared vision, mission, and purpose.”
